Considering a South Carolina computer training program? You’re in luck! One part national transportation hub, one part industrial giant, South Carolina has much to offer technology graduates and mid-career changers. In fact, there's even nanotechnology in the chicken feed.

ZD Net reports that South Carolina is using the technology to create intelligent feed, an invention used to keep the 200 million chickens raised in the state each year healthy, as well as to spur interest in new trends. Other tech-based industries are following suit.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics shows South Carolina's information technology sector posting approximately 1 percent growth per month through 2008; financial activities are growing close to 3 percent per month. According to the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the state's fastest growing technology-based companies include armored vehicle manufacturer Force Protection Industries, e-commerce giant Yardiac, financial institution CoasstalStates Bank, computer reseller SDI Network, and systems integration and multimedia group Cynergi Systems.
